Your Micro-Brand Can Take the Hit...
Following up on the post from the other day, let me offer this idea.
Your brand (macro or micro) can survive a hit, provided it meets the following criteria:
- it is a conscious decision by you to de-invest in one area (taking a hit) so that the ROI in the new area will outweigh any short-term losses
- you have enough brand equity built up (a reserve, if you will) so you aren't in the red (this may be 84 recommendations on LinkedIn- ok, shameless self plug there :-)] or years and years of providing high quality service.
So, go ahead and re-invent yourself, but do it with a plan.
I'm curious...what words do you think express YOUR micro-brand?
